The New England Patriots matched their longest winning run since the Tom Brady era as they overcame AFC East opponents the Jets 27-14 in the NFL

Rookie TreVeyon Henderson led the way with three scores as the New England squad notched an eighth consecutive victory for the first time since legendary quarterback Brady's final season with the franchise in the 2019 season

QB Drake Maye accumulated 281 passing yards and a touchdown, connecting on 25 of 34 passes

The triumph bolsters the New England's advantage at the summit of the AFC East as they advanced to a 9-2 record, with the New York at the foot after falling to two victories and eight defeats

The visitors had taken the lead at their home field with quarterback Fields rushing for a five-yard TD to conclude the Jets' first possession

But the home team answered in the second quarter as the rookie rushed for two seven-yard TDs before the running back caught a pass from Drake Maye at the back of the end zone in the middle of the third quarter to push the score to 21 to 7

"That was a crucial moment for him delivering, and it's been fantastic for him to keep gaining experience," Maye commented on Henderson. "He desires to be excellent."

Fields connected with John Metchie toward the end of the third period to close the gap for the visitors but Andy Borregales kicked a pair of field goals in the fourth quarter as the Patriots sealed the win
